After Ransomware Hit Should You Pay Up?

I found this article at Technewsworld :

Experts Weigh In on Refusing or Paying After a Ransomware Attack

So Ransomware happened… (let’s not worry how or why for now).

Now what do you do?  Contact your lawyer? Cyberinsurance?

I supposed you do want to know how it happened to make sure you can at least remove this attack from future attacks.

Ok, now we have a ransomware attack and we know how it happened – should you pay the criminals or terrorists? Or try the backup first?

At least try the backup to see if it can restore your files or some files. When did you last test your backup?

I mean testing your backup is like eating your wheaties…

Who doesn’t want to eat their wheaties?

The AI made an image after I said: “testing your backup is like eating your wheaties”

And for those of you that do not understand??? I guess it is from a while ago.

I asked for a modern equivalent to eating wheaties (it meant to eat healthy – or you are finally going to make healthy eating choices).

So I guess the modern equivalent is:

Smoothie bowls, overnight oats, Protein shakes, avocado toast, and “mindful eating” were all of the modern equivalents according to you.com AI.

Here is the image: for test your backup like having protein shake

Updated with modern version:

“Eating your wheaties” is an old expression (don’t ask me how old) that means now you will eat healthy – so take your protein or smoothie … Eat healthy, perform backups and test restore!!
