Somehow a plugin (or otherwise) allowed malware to be injected on this website:
This is the message that popped up when I tried going to my website (www.oversitesentry.com for my blog) Also Google chrome did not allow to go to the website without a “do not go” to this website message.
Obviously this is bad…
So what could I do? Checked Google on this type of issue, and installed the Asgard Security plugin(this site is based on WordPress):
Installed and it deleted the various 15 files that were infecting this site:
At this point I also checked any plugins that I may not have recognized, and removed a few old plugins that I am not using… (Social feather etc.)
this website has a Google webmaster toolkit account and the message showed all the defective pages that had to be deleted(above image)
Then I had to go to Google to remove the blacklisting:
After Google checked the site later … maybe took 12-18 hours.
The site is clean again and running correctly:
